This notice describes the current data practices of YTDownloaderHub. The service processes video links and prepares temporary files so you can download an available format through your browser.

Links and video information

When you fetch a video, your browser sends the submitted URL to our server. The server contacts the source platform and related media services to retrieve information such as the video title, uploader name, thumbnail URL, duration, available formats, and file sizes. When you choose a format, the service processes the link and your selection to prepare the file.

The application keeps a limited, temporary metadata cache in server memory. Cached results are reused for up to five minutes and can remain in memory until replaced or the process restarts. This cache is not an account-based download history. Submit only links you are comfortable having the service process.

Temporary files and download status

File preparation stores media temporarily on the server. A randomly generated job ID connects the preparation status and download link to that file. Completed files and finished job records are eligible for cleanup about one hour after the job's last update; cleanup runs when the service handles later job activity, so removal is not guaranteed at an exact minute.

Failed or cancelled preparations are removed after the worker stops. A server restart can make job records and download links unavailable sooner, while leftover temporary directories are handled by later cleanup. Save your prepared file promptly and keep its download link private.

Storage in your browser

The downloader uses sessionStorage to remember the active job ID in the current browser tab. This lets it check a preparing or ready file after a page refresh. The site removes that value when you reset the preparation or a job fails or is cancelled. Your browser controls the lifetime of sessionStorage, which normally ends when the tab's session ends.

The current downloader does not use visitor analytics, advertising trackers, payment processing, or user accounts. It does not ask visitors to provide login cookies. The Paste button requests clipboard access only when you use it, and normal manual pasting is also available.

Connection information and service providers

The server processes your IP address to limit repeated requests and protect availability. Hosting and web server systems may record connection and request details, including IP addresses, timestamps, requested paths, browser information, response codes, and technical errors. Log retention depends on the server and hosting configuration; this notice does not promise a fixed deletion period for those logs.

Hosting and network providers process information needed to deliver the service. Requests for video information and media reach the source platform and its media providers. Some source requests may pass through a restricted server-side network gateway. Displaying a source thumbnail can also connect your browser directly to its image host, which receives your IP address and normal connection information. These third parties handle their own data under their own policies.
