  1. 1 Paste link
  2. 2 Choose format
  3. 3 Download
Example: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/…

Choose your format

Select Download for your format. The button shows Processing, then Downloading now as your browser starts saving the file.

Limit: 500 MB per file and videos up to 2 hours. Estimated sizes are marked with ~; the exact size appears after preparation.

Download only content you own or have permission to save.

You can follow the Shorts downloader's browser workflow without installing a separate YTDownloaderHub app. The key steps are the same on mobile and desktop: copy the individual Short link, fetch formats, and select Download for your choice. The site processes the file and attempts the browser download automatically. Use a Short you own or have permission to download.

Copy the link while the Short is open

Use the Short's sharing controls to copy its link, or copy its individual address from your browser. A youtube.com/shorts/ address identifies one Short; a creator's Shorts tab does not. An individual watch-page link for the same video can also identify it. Keep the link available while switching to the downloader in your browser.

Paste in your browser and fetch the options

Open the YouTube Shorts downloader, tap the link field, and use your device's Paste menu. You can also try the page's Paste button if clipboard access is available. Select Fetch video and check the returned title. On desktop, paste into the same field with your normal keyboard shortcut; the remaining preparation steps are the same.

Choose sound and size deliberately

Read each format's type before choosing. Video + Audio includes sound when that option is offered; Video only does not. Audio-only options may appear if the source provides them. Compare sizes against your available storage and connection. Selecting a format does not create a new vertical crop: the Short's framing comes from the source video.

Tap Download once, then check browser downloads

Tap Download once for your format. The button shows Processing, then Downloading now as the site attempts the browser download automatically. If your browser blocks it, retry with Save file. The browser controls the destination and any location prompt. Check its downloads list or your file manager for completion; processing alone does not confirm a saved file. A page refresh does not automatically download an earlier ready file again; select Download for that restored file if you want to save it.

Resolve storage and source problems separately

If device storage is low, make room or choose a smaller offered format. The service allows files up to 500 MB and videos up to 2 hours; the source controls format availability. If fetching fails, check the individual link and whether the Short is still public. Removed, sign-in-only, or restricted videos may be unavailable. Save ready files promptly because preparations are temporary.

When a video opens in a new tab instead of saving

A Download button on another site may open a direct video URL. The browser can show its built-in media player, which confirms playback but does not by itself mean a file has been saved in Downloads.

On YTDownloaderHub, select Download once for the format. The action changes through Processing to Downloading now when saving is requested. Check the browser's downloads list; use the explicit Save file fallback if the automatic attempt was blocked. Browser settings control the destination and any save prompt.

Quick questions

Why is the Short missing from my phone's gallery?

A browser download may be saved in a downloads folder rather than added to a gallery. Check the browser's download list and your device's file manager, then confirm the download completed.

Do I need to choose the largest format on a phone?

No. Choose an offered quality that fits your use, storage, and connection. A larger file is not always necessary for viewing a Short on a small screen.
